The Lebanese Corner at Saab Medical Library

The Lebanese Corner is a major project created by the Saab Medical Library (SML) of the American University of Beirut. It attempts to include all publications written about Lebanon and/or by Lebanese authors in the fields of medicine and allied health sciences.

The idea started in 1984, after the need for such an information was felt at SML. Many users were interested in getting information about Lebanon's health situation and since this was often a tedious and difficult job to do by using the usual international indexes, the idea of the Lebanese Corner was born.

Indexing was done using the National Library of Medicine Classification and Subject Headings (MeSH).

This collection contains the full indexing of all articles published in the "Journal Medical Libanais" and "Revue Medicale Libanaise" in addition to articles from any other source that fit in the scope of this collection.
